Zeiss Dental Microscope

This allows us a greatly magnified view of the teeth which is especially useful in looking for cracks under old fillings and making sure all the decay has been removed in teeth. It also allows us to work in much greater detail leading to a far higher quality of work. Our Zeiss microscope also has a live video feed allowing the patient and the staff to see what is going on at the same time as the dentist. The microscope has an image capture function which will allow us to take still images of teeth which we can show the patient. Before and After!

Cerec 3 - CAD/ CAMtechnology

An optical 3D CAD image is acquired with a small camera directly in your mouth. This allows us to design crowns, inlays, and veneers for your teeth individually in one visit. The restorations are made from perfectly bonded porcelain material and ensures an extremely long life. Unlike old amalgam fillings where a microscopic "gap" existed between the filling and the tooth, the CEREC restorations are precisely fitted with a very hard-wearing colour matched cement. This eliminates the possibility of decay around or under the filling. The inherent strength of these restorations means that they should last a lifetime and are therefore much more cost effective in the medium to long term. They are also colour matched to your own tooth colour making them almost invisible to the naked eye (they come in a wide variety of different shades)

CONTINUING EDUCATION

This is extremely important to Michael Kim. All the staff attend at least 6-12 conferences and seminars each year to improve their respective skills whether it is clinical or administrative.
